陳怡潔現居台北,2014獲得國立台南藝術大學藝術創作理論博士。代表性的藝術創作是透過轉置動漫漫⾊彩,創作出系列性深具時代意義、反應⼤眾媒體⽂化,並喚起集體視覺記憶的當代藝術作品。她在專業上的表現十分傑出,如2005年以「花毛泡的星期三」⼀作獲台北美術獎⾸獎;另受邀於亞洲⽂化協會獎助之日本ARCUS藝術家駐村計畫、英國⽂化協會獎助之藝術駐村於羅浮堡大學、以及蘇格蘭葛蘭菲迪藝術駐村等國際駐村交流計畫等,這些國際藝術交流經驗不僅激發出她更豐富的創作能量,串連了國際間交流的平台,也建構了她開闊的國際視野,2014年她受邀參加福岡亞洲藝術三年展、英國沙奇畫廊的「後波普-東⻄交匯」展出精彩的作品。近年除了藝術展演,陳怡潔也製作了許多跨界的新媒體演出,例如在台北世大運開幕典禮、101跨年煙火⼤秀、金鐘獎頒獎典禮中擔任影像總監與製作統籌;2017至2023年間五度操刀策劃國慶總統府光雕展演,以及三度北門古蹟建築光雕展演,並且於2020以《世界同行.台灣耀飛-2019國慶總統府光雕展演》獲德國紅點設計獎。更多特色性的展演策劃如《嘻哈故宮-OPEN DATA 跨界文化之夜》、《寶島隨身聽-高鐵藝術計畫》、《山光脈動-跑馬古道公園夜間劇場》皆透過新媒體展現跨界文化的連結能量與未來性。這些經歷都使得她在台灣年輕藝術家中具有截然的代表性,也表徵了她是一位勇於不斷的嘗試、創新的創作者。

ARTISTS STATEMENT
Agi Chen (CHEN Yi-Chieh) currently resides in Taipei and earned her Ph.D. in Art Creation and Theory from the Tainan National University of the Arts in 2014. Her representative works are a series of contemporary art pieces, created by transposing the vibrant colors of anime, which are deeply significant for the times, reflecting mass media culture and evoking collective visual memories. She has excelled professionally, winning the First Prize at the Taipei Art Awards in 2005 for her work "Wednesday of Hau Mau Pau". Chen has also participated in numerous international artist residency programs, including the ARCUS Project in Japan, supported by the Asian Cultural Council, the Loughborough University residency in the UK, sponsored by the British Council, and the Glenfiddich Artist Residency in Scotland. These international art exchanges not only enhanced her creative energy but also connected her with global platforms and expanded her international vision.
In 2014, she was invited to participate in the Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale and the "Post-Pop: East Meets West" exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in the UK, showcasing her brilliant works. In recent years, in addition to art exhibitions, Chen has been involved in numerous cross-disciplinary new media productions. She served as the video director and production coordinator for events such as the Taipei Universiade opening ceremony, the Taipei 101 New Year's Eve fireworks show, and the Golden Bell Awards ceremony. From 2017 to 2023, she curated the Presidential Office National Day Projection Mapping Show five times and the North Gate Historical Building Projection Mapping Show three times. In 2020, her work Marching Forward with Taiwan: 2019 National Day Projection Mapping Show won the Red Dot Design Award in Germany.
Her other notable cross-disciplinary productions include Hip-Hop at the Palace Museum: OPEN DATA Cross-Cultural Night, Formosa Playlist: High-Speed Rail Art Project, and Mountain Pulse: Paoma Ancient Trail Night Theater. These works highlight the connection and future possibilities of cross-cultural energy through new media. Her experiences have made her a distinct representative among young Taiwanese artists, reflecting her relentless pursuit of experimentation and innovation as a creator.
