Born in the rural town of Chaozhou in Pingtung, Taiwan, I graduated from the Department of Mixed Media Arts at the National Taiwan University of Arts (now National Taiwan University of Arts) in 1997. Afterward, I devoted nearly a decade to teaching and have recently dedicated myself exclusively to artistic creation.

Art, for me, is a profound reflection of the immediate sensations and deep experiences of the present reality. It involves introspection, sedimentation, internalization, and a dialogue with oneself. Within the context of dialogues between the environment and people, I seek to define my own position.

The concept of synthesis, prevalent during my university years, has consistently influenced my artistic endeavors. Whether in terms of materials or conceptual fusion, the idea of synthesis remains a crucial aspect of my creative pursuits.

In my recent works, I have chosen floral symbolism as a representation of the beauty found in the natural world. Using flowers as a creative theme, the significance may not lie in the flowers themselves, but rather in the essence I wish to explore. Different flowers, with their unique appearances, symbolize diverse forms of life. My focus is not on specific social phenomena but on the life perceptions behind these phenomena.

Watercolor, as a medium, seamlessly conveys my creative process. The fluidity and uncontrollable nature of water in watercolor art precisely reflect the tempering of nature and life. Through the concept of synthesis, I aim to express the unique vocabulary and temperament of watercolor, burying various emotions within the artwork. Through the exploration of the visual elements, a spontaneous dialogue emerges!
